ProCakes Review

I think that all American breakfast foods areĀ highly underrated. Highly. I mean, a good bowl of cereal can be dinner just as perfectly as it is your breakfast. Toast or an English muffin with almond butter and some banana slices sounds good to me no matter where the sun sits in the sky. One of Brady’s favorite dinner’s at our house is breakfast and when we have breakfast for dinner I go all out; bacon, eggs, pancakes, and sometimes sausage.

When I was given the opportunity to try ProCakes I made sure that I was able to squirrel away in the kitchen when everyone else was asleep so I could enjoy these all to myself! I am not scared to say that I hide snacks that I love from the rest of the family. These people are vultures and when I have something I love and expect to be there when I want it, I need it to be there or else I get stabby. So I hide things and sharing certain things angers me at times. Hey, don’t mess with my food people.

I had a Sunday morning alone, when everyone else slept in, and I decided to treat myself. ProCakes fits in perfectly with the new un-diet diet I am following now. I am tracking my macros and trying to hit certain numbers instead of counting calories. It is amazingly easy, once you get the hang of it. I have already seen huge changes in my body in the past three months, it is fantastic! So ProCakes fits in because it is a product that understands that with reverse dieting, people want to make sure to get the most out of their macros, especially carbs! Regular boxed or homemade pancakes are FULL of carbs. I think the carbs are stuffed with extra carbs that make baby carbs while you cook them. ProCakes has 22 carbs (14 net carbs) per serving. The instructions are crazy easy-I don’t drink dairy milk so I made mine with one 1/2 cup of almond milk and egg whites to match one egg. ProCakes is also gluten-free and wheat-free for those who have to keep an eye on their food ingredients.

ProCakes’ nutritional information is only for the mix, it doesn’t include the milk and eggs that you add in order to make it. Don’t forget to factor these macros into your meal as well. Even with the milk/egg macros, this is an amazingly low-carb way to enjoy pancakes and to get a huge protein boost.

We don’t really go out to breakfast at all, so I pretend I am all fancy and make myself banana pancakes whenever I make them my meal. The kid’s prefer chocolate chips with sprinkles and Jeff usually doesn’t give a damn what he gets, as long as there is bacon!
