Exercise Wish List
Have you ever come across or heard of a workout that you know that you could never, ever do, but that you know you would love to do?
Mine would be CrossFit.
After researching CrossFit and looking at multiple pictures of other bloggers doing this workout…I know that I can’t do it. After having 5 knee surgeries on the same knee, I know my limitations. One of them is squatting. Sure, I can still squat. Sure, I can do it over and over again. But I will pay a huge price for it with the pain and swelling that comes later on that day. And from what I can tell, squatting is kind of a big deal with CrossFit.
So I will have to find other ways to look good. I have always hoped that running would do it for me, but it never did. Maybe because I am seriously inconsistent with my running! If you CrossFit and you think I’d be able to get by without squatting at all…let me know, because I would love to be proven wrong about this.
Have you stumbled upon the blog Carrots ‘N’ Cake? If you have been around the healthy living scene for any amount of time, I’m sure you have visited the site. Tina Haupert, is my new fitness and job idol. I would love to quit my full-time job and work full-time with my blog and other healthy living type of companies. That has been my dream for so long now, and I would love to make that a reality.
Anyways, I binge read her book on Sunday and loved it.
I want to slowly move my life in a different direction, with my food, exercise, job, family time…all of it. I want to live a healthier life mentally, emotionally and physically. I want better for myself. And this book hit home with me, huge. It is common sense stuff and things that Tina talks about on her blog, but it struck a cord in me. There are 100+ easy things that I can do to ensure that I am as healthy as possible. The trick? I need to DO them. Follow through is such an issue with me, I really need to follow through on this.
Anyways, Tina is my blog hero…and I blog-stalk her every day.
We took Bo over to my in-laws house for dinner on Sunday. They have a sheltie, named Shadow, that Bo likes to wrestle with. I think Bo likes the car ride just as much as the dog visit to tell you the truth.
After he grew tired of playing with Shadow, he made good use of his time by sunbathing as much as he could. If Bo could have a job where he could work from home, sunbathing would be it.
Is there an exercise you would love to try?
Who do you blog stalk??
