48 days of bringing it.

OMG.  48 days is going to pass me by in no time at all.  I just know it.  I need a plan.  I am going to work my ass off for 48 days, eat my best and hope I see some amazing results for my wedding day.

I really have to stick to this schedule.  I need your help…

    I feel like I’m in the same boat. Fed up with a lack of results and seriously ready to kick it in gear!!

    12 miles the day before the ceremony?! Maybe change that to 2 days before. Just in IMHO I was way too frickin tired from all the planning and such. No way I could have run the day before. I could barely keep my head on straight. Plus… are you wearing heels? Your feet might kill the next day.

    • Yeah, I’ll end up changing when I run the 12, but I’ll do them that week. This isn’t your typically ‘wedding’ either, luckily. So I don’t have to wear a dress or act ladylike or anything, haha!
      Can’t wait to see how we bring it!

  2. You can totally do this! And I agree with Holly, 12 miles the day before your wedding may be a bit much! Especially since you probably will be busy the day before. Another thing that may help, starting 2 a days. Only do them once a week, but doing a hard AM workout followed by an easy PM recovery effort can help 🙂

  3. Hi Amanda! You don’t know me, but I happened to find your blog when I was doing a search for the Where’s the Dam 1/2. (which by the way, where’s the damn Where’s the Dam 1/2 this year??) Anyhow, it’s just interesting to read your blog and see what you are up to. Since we are both Toledo runners we have run a lot of the same races. Interesting note is that I worked a water stop at the Happy Trails 5K this year, and I saw you run past! You didn’t know this either – but it was almost like a celebrity sighting because I turned my husband and said “Hey, there’s that girl who has that running blog I read!!”. Scarey huh? haha Keep up the good work, you have a quite a challenge set for yourself, and I’m sure you’ll be basking in the glow when you achieve it all 🙂

    • OKay. This is one of the most fun comments I have ever gotten! You totally should have stopped me and said hello or asked for my autograph or asked me why I was walking more than half of the race!??!!?!
      You know what races I plan to be at…you should seek out the short girl who runs slowly and typically carries a pink camera and say hello! I would love that!

      And yes, I am geeked that I am so close to completing my 30 races while 30 goal AND my goal of being in shape for my wedding in only (OMFG) 45 days!

      • I did sign up for the Maumee Rec 5K – so I’ll introduce myself when I see you! btw, 7 miles? Is that a requirement, we have to run it twice or something?? 🙂
        No fear, I was at the 2nd water stop (I think it was), so you were just a blur speeding fast. True story!
        30 races is a whole heck of a lot of races. I just started training for the Columbus marathon. Not sure why I signed up to torture myself again for another 26.2. Oh, it’s because I have that 26.2 sticker on the back of my car. Darn bragging – should have kept the 13.1 on there!

        • No, I want to run a total of 7 miles that day, but 3.1 during the race, haha! What day is the CBus marathon? What was your other marathon??

          • I ran Columbus last October, and then 3 weeks later, another full in Elyria. I wouldn’t recommend that. It sounded like a good idea at the time (“I’ve already spend a lot of time training for a full marathon, I shouldn’t put it to waste”), but it was quite painful. 🙁
            Columbus Marathon is Oct 21st. It has a really great half marathon, I’d highly recommend it if you haven’t done a “big city” race yet. Pretty much crowd support the whole way.

        • I am thinking of doing the Detroit marathon…It may be the same day…I’ll have to think about it. But I do feel the need to do at least 1 each year so I can keep the sticker on my car!
