Jillian Michaels Body Revolution

It has not been almost 2 weeks since I ran my very first marathon.  I knew that I wouldn’t feel like running for awhile after the race so I wanted to prepare to still workout as I started eating less since I wasn’t running so much with training.  Did that sentence  ake any sense at all?  I didn’t think so.  Basically I ate a lot because I was running a lot.  Now I want to eat less and still workout, just not 18 mile runs, more like 30-60 minutes per day.

Enter Jillian Michaels Body Revolution.

Yes, this is the one from the infomercial on tv.  I like all of JM’s other dvd’s so I thought this would be a natural fit.

After I could walk normally again after the marathon I started this program.
I am on week 2 and while I have not seen any significant changes to my body I feel stronger with all of the exercises she has us doing.
Every 2 weeks you get 2 new dvd’s to follow, keeping the workouts interesting.  You have 4 strength/cardio days per week and 2 days of straight cardio and 1 rest day each week.  I made Monday’s my rest day because Monday’s are always huge whores in my house, and I hate working out on whoreday.

Next week starts week 3 and I am really looking forward to seeing what this 12 week program brings me! I’ll keep you updated of any significant changes I see from use of the dvd’s.

Have you ever bought something from an infomercial?  This is my first info purchase and I am pretty happy with it so far!

  2. Yup! We’ve bought Beachbody’s Slim in 6 and of course Tony Hortons P90X. I looked at that one but couldn’t pull the trigger for some reason.
