sidelined

It has officially happened.

I have my first running injury.

This doesnt exactly make me happy, especially since I would give anything to be able to pound out three miles tonight after work.

I have new running shoes that are dying to be used.

I have googled every common foot injury known to runing.  I don’t have one of those.

I have pain along the outside of my foot.  Between my heel and my little toe.

No pain when I touch it.  Only when I walk or move my foot around.

I am, of course, hoping that it is only a sprain/strain or hurt muscle.

I am dreading that it may be a stress fracture. Or something else that will sideline me from working out for the next month.  Or longer.

So I am being an adult.
I will stop hoping that it will just go away on its own.  Because I have tried that for three days, and if anything, it has gotten more painful.

I am going to have to go to a podiatrist.

But the earliest I get into a doctor is Monday.  So, from now until Monday I will sit.  And not workout.  And try not to gain back the weight I just lost.  Ugh.
